Cooking, Eating, and Enjoying Healthy Food!
I’m really digging the affirmations and visualizations that I’ve been trying for this detox. I’ve tried out several on youtube and other websites. Here are my favorites so far:
20 zen morning affirmations (see above for link)
AM Green Juice: kale, arugula, basil, cucumber, celery, green apple
Breakfast: Banana-Berry Coconut Smoothie (see recipe here) + Bone Broth
Worked out and hit the steam room
No snack, so I was absolutely starving and tempted to cheat. Better have a snack tomorrow, so I don’t get to that stage.
Pre-lunch green juice was excellent…
Lunch menu: Big green salad with lots of raw veggies, black lentils, berries, and my homemade Dijon vinaigrette. Side of roasted veggies leftover from last night. Bone broth.
Recipe for Dijon Vinaigrette: (serves 1)
Whisk mustard, vinegar, and salt together, then drizzle in oil while whisking.
I did the 4th affirmation on this site, and tried to rest for a few minutes.
Afternoon snack was sunflower seeds and raisins.
Dinner menu: kind of sparse, but I wasn’t very hungry
Finished the day with some affirmations and visualizations in an epsom salt bath.
